The Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis, MN, is a historic venue that has been a cultural cornerstone in the city since its opening in 1921. Originally built as a vaudeville house and first named the Hennepin, the Orpheum was part of the Orpheum Circuit, a famous chain of theaters that hosted vaudeville performances across the United States. In 1993, it underwent a major renovation funded by the Historic Theatre Group. The stage was extended, and the back wall of the theatre was also moved to make the stage deeper. This allowed for larger touring productions to perform there. After renovations, the Orpheum opened its doors once again to live music, Broadway shows, and other theatrical performances. These renovations helped to preserve its historical charm while updating the amenities to meet modern standards, including state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems that enhance the audience experience.

Today, the Orpheum Theatre has a seating capacity of 2579, making it one of the largest theaters in Minnesota.
